On Friday, September 30 Mitchell Middle School is recognizing Orange Shirt Day. All students and staff will be receiving an orange shirt when they arrive that day. Orange Shirt Day is a Canada wide event that encourages awareness about residential schools and the impact they have had on indigenous and Canadian culture.

A guest speaker, who is residential school survivor, is coming to MMS on Friday, September 30 during a school assembly between 11:25 AM and Noon. Parents and community members are welcome to join us for the assembly. See the school website for more information about the assembly and Orange Shirt Day at MMS.
