April 1, 2017

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Due to the number of school days lost due to inclement weather the school year will be extended to June 31, 2017. June 29 and 30, 2017 were planned to be administrative days with no classes for students. These will now be considered regular classes for all students with an additional class slated for June 31, 2017.

During these ‘make up days’ students will be writing year end tests based on skills in the area of critical thinking. Because of contractual considerations Mitchell Middle School staff will be unavailable to proctor (supervise) these tests so we are asking parents, guardians, grand-parents, older siblings, uncles/aunts etc to supervise these important tests. To sign up for supervision parents, guardians etc are asked to go to https://sites.google.com/hsd.ca/201718yearend/home.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at your convenience.

Sincerely,

Andrew Mead

Principal
