MMS is recognizing Orange Shirt Day on Friday, September 29, 2017. We will be having a school wide assembly at 9:15 AM with our guest presenter David Robertson (author of the book When We Were Alone. This will be followed by activities in homerooms. Students in grade 5 and 6 will get the chance to read the book When We Were Alone and discuss what Orange Shirt Day means. Grade 7 and 8 students will explore the 94 Calls to Action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. This is an important day to learn more about and celebrate indigenous culture.
