Our Remembrance Day service at MMS this morning was a meaningful and memorable event enjoyed by staff, students, and a strong turnout of parents. We were honoured to welcome Sergeant Montgomery from HMCS Chippawa, who joined us for the ceremony and brought a powerful real-world connection to the importance of remembrance. The Grade 7/8 band performed beautifully, the choir offered a thoughtful musical tribute, and a poem was read to help us reflect on the sacrifices of Canadian service members. Following the assembly, Sergeant “Monty” visited nearly every classroom, answering questions, inspiring students, and encouraging them to stay curious and committed to learning.
