Once again Mitchell Middle School will be working towards helping families in southeastern Manitoba who are struggling to put food on their tables this holiday season. The food that is donated will help fill hampers for these families and fill the shelves at the local food bank, Southeast Helping Hands.

Starting Wednesday, December 9th we will be accepting donations of cash and non-perishable food items to go into the food hampers. Together we can make sure everyone has a wonderful Christmas!

This year our theme for the week is centered on breakfast. Please see the list of ideas about items that are needed at Helping Hands:

Wed., December 9th: Coffee, juice, tea, tomato juice.

Thurs., December 10th: Cereal boxes.

Fri., December 11th: Oatmeal, pancake mix, syrup.

Mon., December 14th: Canned fruits, granola bars.

Tues., December 15th: Baby items (baby food), spare change.

Please remember we will always accept any items that are brought in even if they don’t match up with the theme of the day. We also request that all items be unopened and unused, and not part of a whole (e.g. single size juice box). Please donate the whole package.
