This week we have welcomed Ms. Patrick to Mitchell Middle School. Ms. Patrick will be the new homeroom teacher for 6B for the rest of the school year. We wish Mrs. Burton all the best (and as much sleep as possible) as she begins her new adventure at home as a new mom.
Ms. Patrick recently returned from Canada as she was teaching at a school in Thailand. Shayli grew up in the Steinbach area and went to schools in the Hanover School Division. Ms. Patrick plans to start at Mitchell by building strong relationships with all the students she teaches and to get her kids engaged in their learning. Mrs. Burton and Ms. Patrick have similar approaches to teaching and learning which should make the transition for the grade 6s smoother. Ms. Patrick’s ambition for creating safe, collaborative and engaging classroom environments is certain to encourage and develop productive, thoughtful, and confident kids. Ms. Patrick will be a great fit for 6B and Mitchell Middle School!
