Dear Parents,
Mitchell Middle School Library is pleased to inform you of a new program where your child (currently in grade 5-7) will be able to sign out 4 books over the summer, if they want.
Checking Out Books for the Summer
Students may check out books for the summer ONLY if they have returned ALL of their library books from the school year. You and your child must sign and return the Summer Reading Contract to the library by Friday June 21st. Please note that the library will be closed during the summer vacation.
Students may check out up to 4 books.
Summer Book Check Out: Monday June 24 and Tuesday 25, 9:00am-4:00pm.
Please read the following information about returning library books for the end of the summer.
Returning Library Books Please return ALL library books by Friday September 6, 2019.
Lost Library Books Please be sure to look everywhere before paying for a library book. If you are sure that the book is lost, contact the library for the price of the book. Refunds are not available.
There will also be books that have been culled from the Library shelves that will be available for the taking

Contract for Summer Library Book Checkout 2019
By signing this contract, I am promising that I will return the library books I checked out for the 2019 summer by Friday, September 6, 2019. I understand that if the book is damaged or lost, that I must pay the cost of the book. I also understand that library privileges will be suspended if fines for damages or lost books are pending.
I will do my best to properly care for my library books. I will remember to keep books out of the weather, out of the reach of younger children and/or pets, to properly store and care for library books, and to keep books away from food, dirt, liquids, crayons, scissors, glue, etc.
