Dear Parents/Guardians, Community Members, and HSD Employees,
In advance of our budget planning for the next school year, we want to hear your thoughts and comments regarding the allocation of financial resources in Hanover School Division. What is important to you? What priorities should guide our spending?
To gather your feedback, we are using Thoughtexchange – an online tool that will provide participants with the opportunity to share their thoughts as a collective voice. Participants will be asked the following question: As we continue to plan the upcoming budget, what are some priorities we should consider?
Some areas to consider are instruction, staffing, resources, and facilities. Your thoughts and comments will help us better understand the needs of our school communities and assist the Board of Trustees in establishing budget priorities.
The exchange will be open from Jan. 10-20, 2020, and you can participate as many times as you like; the more, the better. Visit the exchange often, as this will provide you with the opportunity to interact with new ideas that will be shared by other participants.
The Board of Trustees will present a summary of the top thoughts at the Public Budget Consultation Meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020, at 6:30 pm (HSD Administration Office). All are welcome to attend. The board summary will also be posted online at https://hsd.ca/governance/budget-consultation/
