Hello MMS Families,
The Steinbach Community Christmas Committee is again coordinating the preparation and distribution of Christmas hampers to those in our area that are in need. Last year, with the help of many area businesses, schools, churches and individuals, we were able to distribute just over 1080 hampers!
As 2020 is a year unlike any other, Community Christmas planning will look very different this year and in order to keep people socially distanced, we are going to collect items in two different ways this year. We know your families have always looked forward to this each year and we have really appreciated their participation in past years so much!!
Next week we will be collecting non-perishable food items. (see attached list of suggestions) between November 30 and December 4, 2020.
Items that we are hoping to collect are:
Baby Formula
Diapers Baby Wipes Baby Food Baby Crackers Ivory Snow Laundry Detergent Dish Soap Laundry Detergent Fabric Softener Hand Soap Toothpaste |

Sandy Claus
If you are unable to come to MMS Mr. Mead will be driving around the community of Mitchell with his truck so items can be placed in the back of the truck. The drive will be live-streamed using mapping software so families can see when Mr. Mead is on their road and then come outside to place items in the back of the truck to donate to Community Christmas.Mr. Mead wil try to get to most roads within the town of Mitchell.
Mr. Mead will leave MMS around 9:30 AM and start on the North side of Highway 52 and then weave through the south side of the community. A link to follow the live stream mapping route will be shared the morning of December 4, 2020.
The live stream mapping will look something like this.
We are very fortunate to work and live in a very generous community. We hope to fill our baskets and Mr. Mead’s truck to give to families in need. If you know of or are a family in need of a Hamper this year, please use this form to request a hamper.
Thank you and Merry Christmas.
