Our Grade 5 and 6 students have had a successful return to learning at school, and it has been awesome to have them back in the school building!  Grade 5/6 families, please note that as students return to in school learning, some classes may be required to move from their current homeroom to different learning spaces in order to ensure we can provide 2 meters of physical distancing in the classroom to the greatest extent possible.  If the location of your child’s homeroom class changes, you will be notified by your child’s homeroom teacher.

We are currently working hard to confirm our plans to welcome our Grade 7 and 8 students back to in-school learning on January 18.  As Hanover School Division communicated earlier, in order to ensure MMS can safely provide 2 meters of physical distance for  students in class, Grade 7 and 8 students at MMS will again be divided to attend on alternating days of the school calendar.  Students assigned to Track A will attend on Day 1, 3, 5.  Students assigned to Track B will attend on Day 2, 4, 6.   While in school, the students will engage in their regular learning opportunities in ELA, Math, Social Studies, Science, Phys Ed, and STEAM.  When at home, the students will be asked to independently work on the assignments provided to them on the previous day.  MMS will confirm which track your student has been assigned to later this week.  Please be reminded this means that some students will return to classes on Monday, January 18, while others will return on Tuesday, January 19.

Parents and families, thank you for your continued support as we navigate this challenging and unpredictable school year.  Watch for more information in regards to our Level Orange planning to be communicated on our website later this week.
