We are so excited to inform you that Mitchell Middle will be able to welcome our Grade 7 and Grade 8 students back to school full time in April! We have been working hard to ensure our scheduling and organizational structures will be able to meet all of the current public health orders under the Restricted Level (Orange), most notably that all of our students will be able to achieve the 2 meters of physical distancing in their classrooms to the greatest extent possible..
All Grade 7 and 8 students will return to attending school every day on Wednesday, April 14.
New Restricted Level (Orange) April – June 2021 homeroom schedules and important information will be shared in more detail after Spring Break.
Grade 7 families, in order to meet physical spacing requirements, we must again create a fourth homeroom class to reduce the number of students in each classroom. We are happy to welcome Mrs. Michelle Friesen back to MMS for Term 3. Those students who were originally in Mrs. Friesen’s homeroom will be returning to that classroom, in order to ensure physical distancing requirements can be met in Grade 7. We will send a follow up notification to the family of each student affected by this movement.
School starts and ends at the same time as we have had since the start of the school year. Bussing will be unaffected and will continue each day.
