Hello MMS Families!  Please be reminded that public health nurses will be at MMS tomorrow, Thursday Feb 3, to administer COVID 19 Vaccines for students up to age 11. Please see the link below for information previously shared by Hanover School Division in regards to vaccinations:

Superintendent’s Message, Dec 13

Parents, please click here to find information from public health about the COVID-19 vaccine for Children.

You can click here to find information about how to prepare your child for immunization including techniques to reduce feelings of anxiety, pain, and fear of needles.

Parental consent is required to receive the vaccine – click here to complete the electronic consent form.

Physical copies of the consent form are also available in the school office.

Families, please be aware that we cannot permit parents to accompany their child in the school to provide support while the child receives their shot. If your child requires parental support to receive their vaccination, you are encouraged to seek out some of the other venues that are also offering vaccinations, including participating doctor’s offices, pharmacies, and vaccination supersites, such as the one in Steinbach.

Here is the full Letter for Parents/Guardians about Covid Immunizations for 5-11 year old students. Please review it for more information on the child vaccine. If you have questions about the vaccine clinic at MMS, feel free to contact us at the school.

In the event that schools are closed to students on Thursday, this clinic will be rescheduled for a later date – we will communicate that information later, should it become necessary.

As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school.
