Good morning Grade 8 Families – after conversation with HSD administration, our Grade 8s have received permission to attend today’s Goldeyes game as scheduled. Please take note of some important planning considerations
- air quality conditions are favourable currently, but could become worse in Winnipeg during the day. Students with asthma or other respiratory concerns must have their required medication/puffers before boarding the buses this morning (this is normal practice, but an important reminder)
- consider sending a mask with your child. Our staff will have additional masks on hand if needed.
- our teachers will monitor conditions at the ballpark during the day. Should they feel that conditions deteriorate, the trip will be shortened and the students will return to MMS earlier
- for students with sensitivities, take note that Shaw Park is an outdoor venue and there are few (if any) locations for respite from worsening air quality conditions
- Parents, should you choose, you are welcome to keep your child at home today if you have individual concerns for your child. Please contact the office or log in to the Parent Portal to excuse your child.
